Welcome to Spendlyst. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Spendlyst mobile application ("App") provided by Spendlyst ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Spendlyst, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Spendlyst is a mobile application that helps you track and manage your expenses. The App provides features including:

• Manual expense and income tracking
• Receipt scanning using on-device OCR technology
• AI-powered expense categorization
• Budget management and tracking
• Analytics and spending insights
• Data export functionality (Pro feature)

3. User Accounts

Spendlyst can be used without creating an account. All data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. In-App Purchases

4.1 Subscription Plans

Spendlyst offers Pro features through in-app purchases:

• Monthly Subscription: Recurring monthly payment
• Annual Subscription: Recurring annual payment
• Lifetime Purchase: One-time payment for lifetime access

4.2 Payment Terms

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to Apple's payment terms and conditions. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable except as required by law.

5. AI Service Disclaimers

Spendlyst uses third-party AI services (OpenAI) to categorize expenses and generate insights. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI categorization is provided "as is" and may not always be accurate
• You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any AI-suggested categories
• We are not liable for any errors in AI categorization
• AI services require an internet connection and may be unavailable at times

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Provide accurate information when adding transactions
• Maintain the security of your device and any account credentials
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Not use the App to violate any laws or regulations

7. Data Storage and Privacy

All financial data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not store your financial information on our servers. For more information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Spendlyst and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal use only.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any loss of data, financial loss, or damages arising from your use of the App
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of expense categorization or financial advice
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Spendlyst from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Spendlyst operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
